All of the most amazing, unattainable marketing contracts I’ve had referred to me, like NBA teams, Shark Tank featured businesses, came unexpectedly after helping someone.

Like the person in this screenshot that resells a retail product.

Had a sales call with them for SEO. They were interested and told them ballpark cost. Said to send them a proposal.

Cashflow ended up not being flexible enough for them right now so they said they’d revisit.

Week later they emailed me asking for SEO resources to try and get a head start on their own. Instead of blowing them off because the deal already didn’t go through, I helped them.

My ideal clients value time more than money, so I have no problem helping others and giving them the answers if they want to try on their own.

Because the extra support I replied with, they’re now referring corporate as a lead.

Helping others is goodwill that comes with a repayment in the form of a wildcard. A wildcard that’s almost exclusively 10x greater than what you could have accomplished by being selfish.
