My son just told me how parents of his new friend asked about his parents (me and Hottie). Usual new friend parent checking. They asked what my name is and what I do.

They then googled me right in front of my son.

Passed the parent check with full page of positive results and media features, his friends parents are inspired, and his friends’ friends now talk about googling their friend’s dad’s name.

Just being passionate about a career I enjoy for nearly two decades gives me a full knowledge graph feature, pages and pages sites that have featured my interviews or white papers I’ve published on SEO, things I’ve personally posted, or podcasts I’ve been a guest on.

Last week my nephew text me his friends “saw his uncle’s car,” my R8.

I’ve even had my dentist (who is also a client) tell me he’s received similar messages about my car.

I’ve had kids google me from my car decals and leave voicemails on the company office line.

My sister came over last night to watch the game with us. She had an SEO National hoodie on. She told me how a co-worker of her recognized it from my social media and thought it was cool we were siblings.

Hottie gets comments from strangers “I swear I know you.” Ends up being, “Oh, you’re Damon’s wife, ‘Hottie!’”

I love all of it.

SEO isn’t even sexy. So imagine the impact you could make with what you’re passionate about.

Loving and sharing what you do can create a butterfly effect of inspiration for your kids, to their friends, now a school and parents, and half the time you wouldn’t believe how much further it spreads.
