Skateboarding on our half pipe with my son the other day and it reminded me about a lady my wife met before school got out for summer.

She met another mom at the kids elementary art show that was new to the area. The lady was asking if we also liked the local junior high, because she had a daughter going there.

She talked about how we generally liked the schools. There was an issue with only one class, and that’s what lead to us pulling our son out for that one class, and replaced it with a home entrepreneur hour.

She explains to the lady, “Our son does entrepreneurship with his dad every other day, and…”

Then the lady cuts her off, “No way!” 👀

She continues, “Don’t tell me he’s the kid with his own website that sells hoodies?”

My wife replies, “Yeah. Skater Haters.”

The lady gets all excited, “Yes! I have to tell my daughter I met the mom of the kid that has his own business.”

She went on to say that her daughter and a bunch of others at school think it’s so cool he’s doing his own thing.

They all say “He’s a hustler…” (in a good way), she goes on to say.

Already have a lot of pride in teaching my son about entrepreneurship and marketing, but now it’s double cool finding out that there’s a ripple effect across other kids and their families.
